About the Author
Born in1933 in Prague, he became a swimmer, then in Prague Charles University he received MD and in Academy of Science PhD. After Russian’s Invasion of Czechoslovakia in August 1968 he moved to Minnesota with his wife Sasha a son Vojta in October; Tereza was born nine months later. He became Professor of medical genetics in the University, and writer. Also published: Chromosomes in Human Cancer and Mal d’Afrique, Adventures of Raft Missi 1, Revenge of Underwater Man, The Ivory Mask, Howles From the Other Site, Four Thorns of Kilimanjaro, It is Black and White, Celebrated Navigation, Fausto’s Afternoon, Encounter in Prague, Reluctant Witness, Haiku and Haiku 2. He visits Prague for friends and spends time in their Wisconsin cabin and home in Florida Keys. Jarda enthusiatically traveled to many tropical forests, five times to Africa and four times to Amazonia, and four continents. As said before (Haiku 2),his major love are all his first and second degree relatives.
