One evening while Paisley was lying on the deck, chewing her favourite bone, there came all of a sudden a big whoosh of air above the roof. Paisley was very frightened and hid inside her kennel. Next thing she knew, there was an old man dressed in red standing beside the kennel. “Hi, Paisley. I’m Santa Claus, and because I am magic, you can understand me. You have been chosen from all the other puppies in Australia because you have been so good.” Paisley slowly crept out of the kennel, and Santa gave her a big cuddle. “My reindeer, Rudolph, has a broken GPS which is stopping his nose from lighting up. Because you are quite a big puppy dog, I have a job just for you. I have a wonderful present for you if you decide to help me. I have a special little glow-worm I keep just in case there is an emergency like this one.” Santa set the glow-worm on Paisley’s nose. Immediately her nose lit up brightly. Then Paisley was running alongside the other reindeer through the evening sky. She was happy and excited to be helping Santa, especially since she had been trying all year to be a very good girl.

About the Book
This book is about Paisley the dog. This is book one in the series about Paisley. Paisley came to Michele’s home as a broken, helpless little puppy that had been abused and had nowhere to live. In this story, Paisley takes in characters who, like herself, have found themselves homeless and facing bleak futures. It is a story about family, acceptance, respect, sharing, caring, and love. Paisley becomes a mentor who leads everyone to a place where they can live the lives they choose and be happy. She is such a good puppy dog, she is personally selected from all the other puppy dogs by Santa to lead his team. This beautiful story will fill your hearts with love. The message is to be good to one another and love one another, and together the world can become a better place for everyone.
About the Author
Michele lives and works in Brisbane, Australia, with her husband, Tommy. Together they have seven children and a rescued puppy, Paisley, who is the centre of this story. Michele is studying to be a Counsellor and has worked for the Salvation Army as a Telephone Counsellor. She has also achieved an Excellence in Leadership Award during her working life. Michele has recently been to Cambodia on a mission trip. She aims to give 10 per cent of the proceeds of all her books to a church-based charity that helps keep children safe from prostitution and trafficking.
