About the Author

Clara Stewart Stevenson, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, is a graduate of Peirce Business College in Philadelphia and was, for a time, employed by the Presbyterian Board of Christian Education. Later, she was the Home Service Director of the Gloucester County New Jersey Chapter of the American Red Cross before working for several years at the General Offices of the Campbell Soup Company in Camden, NJ. Her dream, long-deferred, was to write. She lives in southern New Jersey as she always has and is the author of The New Minister; The Devil’s Booth; Bits and Pieces; and Dreams and Desires as well as several children’s picture books including Osborne, the Literary Mouse; Osborne’s World; and What Do You See When You Look at a Tree? You may correspond with her at her website: www.clarastevenson.com Carolyn Gregory Mortimer was born and raised in Woodstown, New Jersey. A graduate of the University of Delaware, with graduate credits from the University of the Arts, she is a veteran art educator who spends her summers in studio time. She looks forward to ever-larger canvasses of Brahman bulls, motorcycles, orange skies, and clay and silver crosses in her studio years that lie ahead.
