About the Book

The “Attic Of My Soul” is a collection of poetry written by Beverly Lettko, drawn from the memories, thoughts and feelings of those people who most closely touched her life. The author writes poignantly of her childhood, family, nature and neighbors, and of growing up in the small, rural community of Berlin, New York, during the years that followed the “Great Depression”. In reading these poems we are reminded of events, people and places we’ve all known in our youth, and the bitter-sweet memories of those by-gone years. The author hopes you will enjoy reading this book.

About the Author

I was born March 13, 1936 in Berlin, New York, in a home that is now the Berlin Library. I attended and graduated from the school my father helped build. For 25 years I was owner and manager of rental properties in New York State and Massachusetts, a licensed realtor and former member of the New York State Board of Realtors. I was a Notary Public, legal secretary and a federal and state government employee. Now disabled, my hobbies are painting, writing stories, lyrics and poetry, sculpting and needlework. I am a member of the Taconic Valley Historical Society.
