About the Book

Policewoman Laryn Scott is on the force in Mount Vernon, Washington. She works out at a Health Club run by hunky, Quinn Madden. A missing Latina girl involves Laryn in the case to help the grieving father find her. Many other cases are solved before this case comes to a head. She learns to handle blood and guts without throwing up. Laryn talks her cases over with Quinn. As they get to know each other, Quinn learns about family life from Sunday dinners at her folk’s home, complete with boyfriends he’d rather not know. To Laryn, Quinn’s bulging muscles are to die for, although die is a dirty word in police lingo. Gulp!

About the Author

MURDER SHE SPOKE, a mystery novel Robin Wood lives in the foothills of the North Cascades Mountains in Washington State with her husband of many years. Her home is a modified A frame. The yard is made up of controlled native plants which are out of control every spring. They beat back the growth and then retire to the deck to watch the birds and squirrels in the trees. Their seven grown children visit and the grandchildren play in the creek as the adults talk and snack on treats like wild blackberry pie with ice cream. Robin and her husband like to travel including cruises and have been to many exotic places. She has led backpacks into the mountains taking her children and Camp Fire girls. Not to leave the boys out, she had a Scout troop, plus sat on the bench for years watching them all play sports. She sells her books at bazaars and places writers are invited to read excerpts from their book. Conferences are fun and she meets many writers’ whose books she has read and still reads. Robin is active in the community with the local museum being the main one. She started the Friends of the Library and remains active with that group. She worked as a school secretary, then as librarian of a small library. What a surprise when they were chosen last year to be the Grand Marshals of the Cascade Days parade. Her hobbies over the years have been oil painting, SCUBA diving and snorkeling, crafts, sewing, flower gardening and carpentry work. She loves all sports. This is Robin’s eighth book and her first mystery. “God willing and the creek don’t rise, “ she hopes to keep writing.
