About the Book

In each of our lives at one time or another, there may have been instances when we’ve needed the comfort of a loved one or just the reassurance that everything would be alright. Whispers of Faith is a collection of poems written to generate a sense of knowing that no matter what circumstance you may be going through, there is Someone who is able to help you get through it.

These poems touch and explore various aspects of our everyday lives. They not only encourage us to reflect on our spiritual lives, but they encourage us to take a look at the world around us. These poems also challenge us to reflect on the paths we have taken, as well as the path in which we are headed.

Following are excerpts from a few poems contained in this volume:

Whispers

Sometimes I feel lonely, that I just don’t belong, And God whispers to me “I’ll help you be strong.”

Sometimes I feel angry when people aren’t just, And God whispers to me “Just where is your trust?”

Sometimes when I’m feeling that God isn’t near, Then He whispers and says “I’m always right here.”

Take A Little Time

My days were dark and troubled, my heart was full of pain, My mind was being told that my works were all in vain.

I struggled for a time, ‘cause I couldn’t see the way. I tried things on my own, but I had to stop and pray.

Whenever you’re in despair and you can’t see the way, Just stop what you’re doing and take a little time to pray.

That Sunrise

I’ve never seen a sunrise like the one I saw today. It made me see the splendor of God’s majestic array.

There were no words to describe the way it made me feel. There was a sense of humbling, which my spirit had to yield.

If I would ever see God beyond my physical eyes, And see Him with my Spirit, He was there in that sunrise.
